On Wednesday, October 31, 2012 a Programming Agreement was signed between the Municipality of Aliartos and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the realization of the program: “Geophysical Survey in the Theater of Ancient Askris”.
The total budget of the project, which amounted to 8,650.00 Euros, was covered by the Municipality’s expenditure budget.
The purpose of the works was the detection and mapping of the buried architectural remains of the ancient theater.
This project was carried out in direct collaboration with the Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities.
On Thursday, June 30, 2016, a Programmatic Cultural Development Agreement of € 50,000 was signed between the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Region of Central Greece on the subject matter of “EXCAVATION RESEARCH, TOPOGRAPHIC AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPRESSION AND EXHIBITION OF THE ANCIENT THEATER IN THE MOUSON VALLEY”.
