On November 1st and November 2nd, 2021, the first meeting between the contractors-consultants participating in the Reconstruction Plan for Northern Evia and the Local Community took place, following the initiative of the Chairman of the Committee for the Reconstruction of Northern Evia, Mr Stavros Benos.
On the first day, the meeting took place at the Municipality of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna (at the Mela building in Limni). On the following day, the meeting took place at the Municipality of Istiaia-Aidipsos (at the Istiaia Town Hall). Both these meetings formally marked the start of the round of consultations with the local community of Northern Evia.
This is a most significant and essential moment as far as the progress of the Reconstruction and Regeneration Programme for Northern Evia is concerned, as during these two days Mr Benos “settled” the contractors-consultants in Northern Evia and the work for the elaboration of the Programme’s studies began, with the local community and institutions taking on a leading role.
During both meetings, the attendees and institutions present (Region of Central Greece, Municipalities of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna and Istiaia-Aidipsos, Chambers, etc.) made some exciting proposals, the first to be made during the consultations.
From this point on, consultations will be continuous and follow the following timetable:
