Corporate Members: An Institution is Born – ALPHA BANK

Alpha Bank has been one of the earliest Corporate Members of the DIAZOMA Association, joining our family of partners/ supporters in 2011.
Alpha Bank was founded in 1879 by Ioannis F. Kostopoulos. Today, it operates in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Albania, Luxembourg, and Great Britain, providing a wide range of financial products and services. It employs more than 10,500 people worldwide.
Guided by corporate and social responsibility, Alpha Bank implements a variety of actions and programmes, actively supporting culture, education, health, and environmental protection.
In this context, Alpha Bank has been a stable and important ally of the “DIAZOMA” Association for the last 10 years, supporting in every way our work and our vision to bring our country’s monuments to the heart of modern life, prosperity and sustainable development. A characteristic example is the Bank’s contribution to the creation of the Generation D platform. The platform hosts and promotes student projects arising from the educational activities implemented in schools through the “Adoption of Ancient Theatres- Students guide students around ancient theatres” programme. This is a Ministry of Education approved DIAZOMA programme which aims to bring together the educational community and the monuments of our country.
Alpha Bank also supported DIAZOMA’s Adopt an Ancient Theatre project, screening the relevant short video in all its branches to inform and raise awareness of the public.
Finally, Alpha bank supported the 2019 5th Annual Meeting of Ano Diazoma: “5 Years of Student Tour Guides”, where students and teachers presented the educational actions which took place within the framework of the “Adoption of Ancient Theatres- Students guide students around ancient theatres” DIAZOMA programme.
